Young Bands Night: Singer-Songwriter Showcase

The Sound Lounge's Matt Helm is hosting another Young Bands night, to give young musicians aged 15-24 an opportunity to perform a night in their local venue.

The February show is a singer-songwiter special featuring:

Brandon Charles

Retro Firefly

and Jayen Navamani

Brandon Charles - A contemporary solo artist and songwriter who performs acoustically and has been doing so for over 3 years. Likes to blend different styles into his music.

Retro Firefly - Retro Firefly is the music project of Lowestoft-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Samantha Penman. She began writing music in her early teens, frequently finding inspiration in nature and her upbringing along the Suffolk Coast. Her music has an indie-folk vibe, taking inspiration from artists such as James Blunt and Aurora.

Jayen Navamani - Jayen is a multi-instrumentalist and singer. His debut EP ‘Songs From The Green Room’ came out in late 2023. Since then, he has released further singles with more on the way (available on all streaming platforms). He has a background in jazz, funk, rock and pop music, and will be playing a piano and vocal set of original songs on the night!
