Type Red + Minifigure + The Ruins

Type Red are an up-and-coming band of dedicated young local musicians, equipped with a love of making music that people enjoy.

Having met at ArtsOne Rocks! at Glenthorne High School, they formed a friendship that developed into making and enjoying music together. Their collective love of music in general (both playing and listening) has led to them crafting a performance of classic covers that people know and love.

After playing at the Eco Fair in Carshalton, Young Bands Night at The Sound Lounge, many Open Mic nights and events at a number of local schools, Type Red are excited to announce this, their first headline gig. They hope to expand their following and give you a night of connection through music.

“As a collective we have years of experience and specialism in our instruments, and each have a particular passion in a range of music from rock, blues, pop, grunge and metal. We also hope that through enjoyment of our covers we can broaden peoples' music tastes and introduce them occasionally to some more unusual songs.”

Minifigure return to the Sound Lounge with their wide range of original songs, mainly inspired by the likes of Blur, Bloc Party, Radiohead and Green Day. Croydon-based Minifigure have been described by Underground Sound as a “very young band with a lot of potential - all good players. Unreal drumming!”. They released their first EP 'Ambitious But Rubbish' in August 2024.

The Ruins are an alternative rock/grunge band that want to bring back the '90s alternative rock experience to you!
