Rolling Stones 'Foreign Tongues' Release Party

We're marking the release day of 'Foreign Tongues’, the 25th studio album by the Rolling Stones, with a very special evening, and all proceeds going to the Sound Lounge. 

SL patron Paul Sexton is hosting an exclusive playback of the radio documentary he’s just completed about the album, featuring his brand new interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. The doc is being aired in the UK by Planet Rock, but you'll be hearing an exclusive, extended version - call it the director's cut!

It's not only a chance to hear tracks from the album on the day it comes out, but you’ll hear the band talking about making 'Foreign Tongues' at Metropolis Studios; their relationship with producer Andrew Watt; and the contributions of old friend Steve Winwood and beloved, much-missed bandmate Charlie Watts.

The Stones will also talk about the bluesy opener ‘Rough and Twisted’, first single ‘In The Stars’, covering Amy Winehouse’s ‘You Know I’m No Good’ and about the continuing influences of both country music and Chuck Berry. Plus the song Keith has been trying to get noticed for 20 years!  

Before and after the playback, we’ll have a special edition of Bring Your Own Vinyl, our popular monthly feature where you get to spin your records on our turntables.
