Los Jestos Slam Jam with guests Lauren Stewart, Jenny Lockyer, Isaac Jengwa & Los Jestos!

Your hosts for the evening and a smorgasbord of entertainment and variety, all with a Latin twist performed on Flamenco Guitar and The West African Djembe. Expect the unexpected with their improvised numbers created by the audience and expect some cheesy covers in between their excellent original material. We know how to rock a crowd, come and witness Los Jestos in full flow! It will be a night to remember, and a night to forget!

Lauren Stewart - This is her second outing at The Slam Jam, and her first time was on our maiden voyage at The Sound Lounge. She truly brought the crowd to silence with her thoughtful and meaningful lyrics that truly sum up the trials of modern life. A gorgeous folky voice combined with catchy and powerful songwriting.

Jenny Lockyer - As comedy music goes Jenny is the top of the pile. She 'seamlessly weaves punchlines into complex and whimsical musical arrangements' and is 'so funny, so clever, great timing ... and what a voice!'

Tim from Los Jestos was booking her as part of his live music nights years ago and this will be a very happy reunion bringing back some excellent memories for the Sound Lounge to enjoy for the very first time.

Isaac Jengwa - Bringing an intimate blend of indie folk and African soul — think mbira, acoustic guitar, flute, and storytelling that travels from the Savannah to the Sussex coast. It's slow music, designed to create space. No rush, no noise, just two voices, a few instruments, and room to breathe. Expect original songs, some unexpected covers, and the kind of set that stays with you long after the night ends.
