Junkyard Choir are a rock band tangentially based out of Croydon & Brighton, England
Originally formed as a loud 'n' dirty garage rock duo by lead vocalist and guitarist Mark Woods (ex-Do Me Bad Things) in 2014, the band expanded to a six-piece over the following decade, with their sound morphing into a home-brewed style of gritty, bluesy, ragged, soul-infused rock 'n' roll.
They are currently working on their fourth album; a release which will be the perfect soundtrack for long highway drives and hot summer nights spent drinking tequila.
Demo Buttons are long-standing friends and supporters of The Sound Lounge and return boasting a full line up, with Sean Bright, Sam Palmer and Dan Culli joining former Billy Vincent folk-rockers Chris Barratt and Joe Kinsey. Previewing songs from their forthcoming album ‘Uncharted Seas of The Kitchen’ alongside others from their previous outfit.
Dave Sears and Julian Eccleston blend soulful vocals with thoughtful songwriting and rich, textured instrumentation. Drawing on roots in folk, rock, and Americana , the duo crafts songs that balance raw emotion with melodic sophistication.
Influenced by 60s folk artists such as Bert Jansch and mixing with artists from later decades. Dave’s hypnotic guitar work and magnetic pull meets Jules’ rolling bass lines and driving rhythms, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. Whether performing intimate acoustic sets or full-band shows, Dave and Jules bring connection, honesty, and energy to every performance. Also blending choice covers of acts such as John Martyn, Van Morrison, Dylan, Neil Young, Ryan Adams. and Nick Drake into their set to gain a more familier rapport with the audience.
