Junkyard Choir + Dave Sears & Julian Eccleston, Gabriel Saul and Jack FR
Junkyard Choir are a 6 piece home-brewed style of gritty, bluesy, ragged, soul-infused rock 'n' roll.
The band have been a constant presence in their native south, playing sold-out shows to captivated music lovers. They are currently working on their fourth album; a release which will be the perfect soundtrack for long highway drives and hot summer nights spent drinking tequila.
"Junkyard Choir has been called a ‘dirty blues’ band. And to be honest I have never really understood what that means. But I know what soul sounds like and this is it, no matter how grubby it is around the edges. So find the cheapest whiskey you can and if you’re inclined, spark up a cigarette and listen to this band in the dingiest pub you can find. And revel in the joy of your own regret." (Mark Woods, Junkyard Choir)
Dave Sears and Jules Eccleston blend soulful vocals with thoughtful songwriting and rich, textured instrumentation. Drawing on roots in folk, rock, and Americana , the duo crafts songs that balance raw emotion with melodic sophistication.
Influenced by 60s folk artists such as Bert Jansch and mixing with artists from later decades. Dave’s hypnotic guitar work and magnetic pull meets Jules’ rolling bass lines and driving rhythms, creating a sound that feels both timeless and contemporary. Whether performing intimate acoustic sets or full-band shows, Dave and Jules bring connection, honesty, and energy to every performance. Also blending choice covers of acts such as John Martyn, Van Morrison, Dylan, Neil Young, Ryan Adams. and Nick Drake into their set to gain a more familier report with the audience.
Gabriel Saul, a true blues maestro, combining exceptional musicianship with soulful, authentic performances. With echoes of Tom Waits going for broke Gabriel performs original material to hold you through them deep dark nights.
Jack FR released his lo-fi album, When you were high in April. The singer-songwriter blends the muse of Dylan & Neil Young into some lyrical orchestrated beauty.
