Demo Buttons + The Pursuit of Pleasure + Missing Fields
This triple bill has all the ingredients of a classic SL start to the weekend! Demo Buttons return to the Sound Lounge boasting a full line up, with Sean Bright, Sam Palmer and Dan Culli joining former Billy Vincent folk-rockers Chris Barratt and Joe Kinsey. Previewing songs from their forthcoming album ‘Uncharted Seas of The Kitchen’ alongside others from their previous outfit, this is something of a launch for the band as they take to the stage as a five-piece in their own right for the first time.
The Pursuit of Pleasure play a particularly British strain of Americana. With male/female lead vocalists, their unique blend of alt-country and folk draws influence from artists like First Aid Kit, Michael Kiwanuka, the Mamas & Papas, the Decemberists and Jefferson Airplane. The songs themselves combine melodic pop melodies with darker, introspective lyrics that have a deeply personal honesty to them. Just over a year on from their impressive debut at The Sound Lounge, this visit marks the release of their second album 'AWAKE. ALONE. AGAIN.'
Missing Fields are the output from guitarists Jim and Phil. Two school friends from Somerset who have continued their musical journey since age 11. Joined by Graham the Dublin drummer to complete the trio. Their journey is long but the horizon is getting closer.
Mixed standing and seating show with doors at 7pm and live action from around 8.15!
