Conner Reeves + Leo Lore (support)
One of our great highlights of 2025 came when London-born soul man Conner Reeves chose the Sound Lounge for his return to the live stage last October. The hordes of loyal fans who travelled from Europe and all over the UK were thrilled at the opportunity to see Conner up close and personal in our intimate setting. They’ve been asking us ever since about a repeat visit, and now it’s coming!
“The Sound Lounge was such a warm and friendly place to start my ‘comeback’ six months ago,” says Conner, “so it seems the right place to debut my new show in May..so come and see it here first !’
Reeves and his band will now play a 60-minute headline set, with an opening support slot from singer-songwriter Leo Lore, originally from Norwich but now based in south London. Leo describes his style as "old-skool soul" and when fredperry.com asked "iIf you could be on the line up with any two bands in history..." he said "It would have to be Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse... I reckon we’d have a right laugh!"
Conner's set will include signature hits and songs from the excellent Ten Thousand Days and The Church of the Restoration. The album was so called because it arrived more than 27 years (or 10,000 days) after his first album Earthbound - quite possibly a record-breaking gap between a debut and sophomore album.
That debut included the memorable top 20 hits 'My Father's Son' and the title track, and as the national UK press hailed "a blue-eyed soul singer of remarkable abilities," Reeves visited the top 30 on three more occasions over the next two years. He was shortlisted for Best British Newcomer at the BRITS, played major events in front of millions of people and supported Whitney Houston and others on tour.
Even if you know nothing about Reeves' storied past, Ten Thousand Days… is a stunning record that combines incisive lyricism around grown-up themes with killer melodies and adhesive choruses. His return to Sutton comes just after the 17th April of a deluxe edition titled More Than Ten Thousand Days and The Church of the Restoration, which contains the current single, a new version of ‘Slow Lightning’ featuring Conner’s soul sister and friend Joss Stone.
Please note that this is a mixed seating and standing show, and that the room will be closed prior to doors at 7pm so that Conner and his band can complete their soundcheck.
