Bjørn Tomren (born 1981) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, vocalist, and composer from Tomrefjord, known for his extraordinary musical range, unusual vocal techniques (including yodelling and overtone singing), and surreal storytelling style. Before emerging as a distinctive solo artist, he gained attention as one half of the eccentric duo Polkabjørn & Kleine Heine, who toured widely and even supported a-ha. The duo were also the subject of the documentary The Art of Yodeling.

Tomren released his debut solo album, Bad Science Fiction, in 2019. Described as “dystopian sci-fi country,” the album received strong reviews and was praised as “songs in the americana tradition, heavily laden with resonant instruments and pressing atmospheres.” He followed it with The Astronomer’s Dream in 2023, and in 2025 released Oumuamua, a collaboration with producer and musician HP Gundersen, further cementing his reputation as one of Norway’s most original musical voices.

Tomren became a household name in Norway after winning the 2021 season of the national TV 'star search' competition Stjernekamp (NRK), where he was described as “the coolest artist in Stjernekamp’s history” and emerged as the public favourite. Since then, he has toured extensively across Norway, performing sold-out concerts with a repertoire that spans sacred folk hymns, jazz, psychedelic protest music, and intimate ballads.

In addition to his music career, Tomren has appeared as an actor in the NRK series Våre beste år (“Our Best Years”).

Outside the arts, he is also known as an adventurer, holding several “Norway from end to end” records—having completed the journey on foot, on skis, by kayak, and by rowboat. Author Erlend Loe once remarked: “Bjørn Tomren is not only a divinely gifted musician with a fantastic voice — he can also ride a bicycle on one wheel.”

Bity Booker is an alternative folk musician and visual artist based in Thanet and London. She is a lover of nature, animals and folklore, she writes and sings gorgeous, wistful songs channeling a lyrical folk tradition. Bity doesn't just perform songs, she casts them. Armed with classical guitar, a voice that sounds like it stepped out of a myth, and lyrics full of animals, dreams, ghosts, and forest whispers, Bity crafts a world that’s both familiar and entirely her own.
