A Gut-Feeling Festival
A Gut-Feeling Festival For anyone interested in gut-health, fermentation and wellbeing. This is a #FreeEntry event and please note that it has not sold out! Just come along on the day. Free-To-Enter - The Sound Lounge has come together with three inspiring organisations: The Green Nut(opens in a new tab), which is a Sutton-based organisation educating local groups and the wider community in connected living and plant-based cooking. Founded by nutritionist, Linda North, and with so much advocacy work, the Green Nut is making a big impact. Made In Hackney(opens in a new tab) is a community cooking school. based in Hackney and founded by Sarah Bentley. Today it is more than an organisation, it has become a movement which includes a huge network of educators, volunteers and incredible chefs (some of them household names) from all over the world changing the way people view food and learning about the impact that eating has on our overall health. Myco-Mutiny(opens in a new tab) is a Sutton based organisation founded by local resident, Claude Page, who is on a mission, not only to get local people growing their own mushrooms, but to pass on and share the unbelievable health benefits of mushroom extraction. Claude works with local groups and individuals as educational workshops and community events. In his own words "you don’t need to be a farmer or run a lab to grow mushrooms, extract them, or experiment at home". On Friday 13th from 3pm, there will be talks from The Sound Lounge co-founder, Hannah White, The Green Nut founder, Linda North and from Made in Hackney founder, Sarah Bentley. As well as talks you can participate in workshops to learn about fermentation, making sauerkraut, making kombucha and growing mushrooms. And we will be making some fun tasters available for you to dispel some of the unhelpful myths about plant-based food. We hope you'll come down and check out what's on, because we feel you'll come away full of inspiration 🌱❤️🍃 **All the organisations involved in this event are hosting it free of charge, because it matters to all of us. You will, however, be able to make a donation on the day if you are able to and it is hugely appreciated. Please don't let it stop you if you are not in a position to make a donation. We would rather you come down and enjoy the day - and no-one will be asked directly so you won't be made to feel uncomfortable.
